System Specification of Decision Support System

Objectives

This WP identifies the algorithms needed for electric and economic simulation, identifies a set of simulation scenarios and provides a reference architecture.

Output of WP4 that is used as input for WP5:

  • Decision Support System, i.e. System Specification with calculation algorithms, interdependencies, optimization routines, databank definitions, definition of user interfaces, structures of output, …

 

Description of work

  • Task 4.1 – Physical Network Modelling (Leading Partner: PoliTo)
    In this task a computer model is built, that allows simulations of incidents in the European power transmission system.
  • Task 4.2 – System Specification of DSS (Leading Partner: TUD)
    In this task the findings and tools of the previous work packages are merged to the system specification of a comprehensive and powerful decision support system. The Incident-Response System (Task I.5) is implemented in direct relation to the model of the physical network (Task 4.1). Costs of countermeasures (Task I.5) and the expected damage (Tasks 2.3 and 2.4) are given for each occurred (or user defined) incident (short-term security) or threat scenario (long-term security).
